BCIS Deputy Audit Lead Position

BCIS Deputy Audit Lead Position

22nd October 2020

Dear BCIS member,

We would like to invite expressions of interest from enthusiastic and committed BCIS members for the new role of Deputy BCIS Audit Lead.

Summary

The successful applicant will shadow and work with Professor Peter Ludman for an initial period of 2 years.  During this period of time, the successful applicant will assist Peter in running the audit activity of the Society, with the intention of learning the role.

Given the commitment that such a role requires, it is the intention of the Society to always have a Deputy Audit Lead in place, so that there are 2 members to share the work and responsibility in the future.

See the full job description here.

Application

Application is by self-nomination, with reference to the person specification above. A short supporting statement from the candidate, which specifically addresses their suitability for the role must accompany self-nomination in order for the application to be valid.

If you wish to apply please do so through the link at the bottom of the email. If you would prefer to apply via email, click here to email us, attaching your supporting statement.

Given the unique nature of this role, the intention is that it will be chosen via a formal appointments process, including an Appointments Committee, rather than by a national election.

The closing date is Friday 20th November 2020 at 5 pm.

If you have any questions relating to the role, please feel free to reply to this email and we will get back to you,

With kind regards,

Clare Appleby

Special Notice Regarding the Administration of BCIS

Special Notice Regarding the Administration of BCIS

18th February 2020

18 February 2020

Dear BCIS Member,

As you will know by now, BCIS Council has agreed to enter into an agreement with Millbrook Medical Conferences to provide administrative services to BCIS, rather than using the current British Cardiovascular Society services. It is therefore our responsibility to formally advise you that Millbrook will serve as a data processor on behalf of BCIS.

Further information about the full GDPR policy that relates to this can be found here.

As a very important part of this reorganisation, and to allow us to avoid some BCIS members paying their subscriptions via the older BCS system, and some directly via the BCIS system, we will be writing, after 2/3/20, to those members who are paying their subs via the old BCS system (which will become redundant) to invite them to change to the newer BCIS subscription mechanism. We hope to make this as painless as possible!

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Azeem Ahmad, our affiliates coordinator at the BCS, for all his loyal and dedicated service to BCIS over the years.

With kind regards,

Prof. Nick Curzen
President, British Cardiovascular Intervention Society
