Further to the recent elections, we are delighted to announce that our 2 new elected BCIS Ordinary Council members are Phil MacCarthy and Tim Wells.

We had 12 excellent candidates and consequently, this was a highly competitive election. This shows the momentum and support BCIS has within the country and we need motivated individuals to help improve and evolve Cardiovascular Intervention within the UK. Please do keep a lookout for further representative opportunities that may arise in the future.

I am delighted to announce that Dr Dan Blackman (Leeds) has been elected unopposed as the next Honorary Secretary of the Society.

Dan will take up his post following ACI in January 2016. (We will also be advertising for new Ordinary Council members shortly, so please do keep a lookout for this communication. These posts are open to all BCIS members to apply excluding Extra-ordinary and Honorary Members).
