Clinical Standards Group: Member without Portfolio (x2 posts)
Clinical Standards Group work includes: development and/or review of BCIS guidance and statements on clinical practice, co-ordination of the BCIS peer review programme, communication with NICE, MHRA, and other national bodies relevant to clinical standards. This includes the co-ordination of BCIS responses to published guidance and statements from such national bodies, and specialist input to the Royal College of Physicians. The group lead is Helen Routledge to whom the member would have direct responsibility.
Eligibility/Person Specification
Applications are open from the BCIS membership, and it is expected that the applicant will have extensive experience of the clinical practice of interventional cardiology.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of committee work, good organisational & leadership abilities and preferably have previous experience of clinical standards work or governance activities.
The position is for a 3-year term.

Application is by self-nomination, with reference to the person specification above. A supporting statement from the candidate, no more than 500 words, which specifically addresses their suitability for the role must accompany self-nomination for the application to be valid.
