Expression of Interest – BCIS Communications Group

The British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) is inviting expressions of interest from enthusiastic, innovative, and committed BCIS members who are keen to contribute to the continued growth and development of the Society.

Successful applicants will work closely with the Communications Group Lead, Dr Krishnaraj Rathod, helping to shape and strengthen BCIS communications, digital engagement, and educational outreach.

About the BCIS Communications Group

The Communications Group plays a central role in overseeing the Society’s:

  • Website development and digital presence
  • Social media strategy and content
  • Digital educational activities and engagement initiatives

The group also supports effective communication between BCIS members, BCIS Council, and the wider cardiovascular community, including BCS, EAPCI, ESC, and PCR.

Eligibility and Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from all BCIS members. Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience in communications and/or digital engagement
  • An active understanding of social media platforms and their professional use
  • Familiarity with website development or digital content management

This appointment is for a 3-year term.

  • A supporting statement (maximum 500 words) outlining your suitability for the role and addressing the person specification above.
