Leeds Teaching Hospitals are delighted to be hosting the 2023 edition of the BCIS Coronary Intervention Trainees Course.

Interventional cardiology in Leeds is flourishing with a committed group of doctors providing outstanding innovation, research and care. The common theme shared by all our consultants is teaching.

The meeting will consist of case-based lectures and discussions concentrating on mainstream coronary and structural intervention.

This is a recognised BCIS Course for Advanced Trainees, and as such is considered by BCIS a core component of sub-specialty training in intervention.

  • Cathlab emergencies – Human Factors

WSCTS & RCSED – International Heart Valve Congress

The treatment of Aortic and Mitral Valvular conditions has changed dramatically in the last two decades. Alain Cribier revolutionised the treatment of Aortic Stenosis by introducing TAVI in 2002. Newer transcatheter interventions for mitral conditions are allowing many more patients to benefit.

This meeting will focus on all aspects of the Aortic and Mitral Valves including Diagnosis, Investigations, Surgical and Non-Surgical Treatments, Timing of Treatment, Infective Endocarditis. There will be a special emphasis on TAVI. Some of the top authorities in the field of TAVI, and Aortic and Mitral Valve Disease will be faculty at the meeting.

The meeting will be of interest to Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Anaesthetists, General Practitioners, and Medicine of the Elderly.

All abstracts presented at the meeting will be published in the “Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery”. The meeting has CME accreditation (14 CME points).
