Consultant Interventional Cardiologist
Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham
Consultant
I’m privileged to work at the intersection of innovation, evidence, and patient-centred care as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, with extensive experience in complex coronary artery disease and minimally invasive structural heart interventions — including TAVI, TEER (mitral and tricuspid), transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies, PTMC, and PVL closure.
Following advanced training in the United States, including a structural heart fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, I’ve been fortunate to help introduce and develop first-in-region transcatheter valve procedures in Birmingham, expanding treatment options for patients who previously had limited or no surgical alternatives.
My clinical practice spans the full spectrum of coronary and valvular heart disease — from high-risk and complex coronary intervention to early disease detection and prevention. My academic work has been published in journals including Circulation, JACC, and the European Journal of Heart Failure, and shared at national and international cardiology meetings.
