Calls for Expressions: Communications Lead

On behalf of BCIS Council, I would like to invite applications for the position of Communications Lead.

This will be a critical position within the Society. We plan a major focus on enhancing the breadth and quality of BCIS Communications over the next 1-3 years. The successful candidate will be required to develop and lead a Focus group that will review all aspects of BCIS Communication and, working with the President and Officers, will develop and implement a new Communications strategy. This will include a major redevelopment of the BCIS website, an increased focus on the use of social media to deliver content relevant to BCIS members, and further development of the digital educational activities of the Society.

The post-holder will work closely with all of BCIS Council and the Working Groups, therefore strong communication and approachability is key.

The position becomes vacant from April 2026 when the current incumbent Dr Suneil Aggarwal completes his term. There will be a short run-in period to allow the successful candidate to familiarise themselves with the role.
