BCIS Council Elections 2019 – call for nominations Honorary Secretary and R&D Group Lead

Call for Nominations for Honorary Secretary

Call for Nominations for Research & Development Group Lead

We would like to invite nominations for the role of Honorary Secretary, and for the role of Research & Development Group Lead.

The position of Honorary Secretary is for a 3-year term, and will commence in January 2020 after the ACI conference when the current incumbent, Dr Dan Blackman, steps down. There will be a 3-month lead-in period as Honorary Secretary-elect working alongside Dr Blackman starting immediately after the successful candidate is appointed.

The position of Research & Development Group Lead is for a 3-year term, and will commence in January 2020 after the ACI conference when the current incumbent, Professor Nick Curzen, steps down in order to take on the role of President. There will be a 3-month lead-in period working alongside Professor Curzen and starting immediately after the successful candidate is appointed.

For both posts all BCIS members (provided they are current full members of BCIS) are eligible to apply. For both posts the electorate will be all current and past Council members. Application is by self-nomination. A supporting statement must accompany self-nomination in order for the application to be valid. The closing date is Friday August 9th at 5pm.
