BCIS Council Elections 2018 – call for nominations CSG Lead

Summary

Dear BCIS Members,

On behalf of BCIS Council I would like to invite applications for the position of BCIS Clinical Standards Group Lead. This is a vitally important role, with responsibility for managing all aspects of interventional cardiology related to clinical standards on behalf of the Society, including the development and/or review of BCIS guidance and statements on clinical practice, coordinating and supervising the BCIS peer review programme, advising on other forms of peer review, and liaising with NICE, MHRA, and other national bodies relevant to clinical standards in the UK. The successful applicant will also be a member of BCIS Council contributing to all of the Society’s work, and will be an ex officio member of the Administration group, Data Management Group, and Professional Standards Group.

This position is vacant from July 2019, when the current incumbent Dr Adam de Belder steps down, but is to be appointed now in order to allow a 6-month run-in period to learn the ropes. The term of office is 3 years.

Any BCIS member with relevant expertise is eligible to apply. The electorate will be all current and past BCIS Council members.
