Summary

Keith Oldroyd discusses the role of the antiplatelet agents in the setting of acute coronary syndrome. He looks in depth at the variability of response to Aspirin, and Clopidogrel, how this is measured and the consequences as a result. He presents data from the CREST (clopidogrel effect on platelet reactivity in patients with stent thrombosis) trial and also data about stent thrombosis following bare mental stent insertion.
