Summary

Dr Rob Hatrick of St. Richard’s Hospital discusses the problems of working as part of a Heart team whilst based in a non-surgical centre. He goes on to discuss the introduction of the “Lifestream” system, a multi-way high resolution video link with embedded angio review facilities. He concludes that the system provides a robust mechanism for discussion of cases with the surgical centre whilst allowing local teams to retain ownership of their patients.
