Consultant Cardiologist, Essex Cardiothoracic Centre
Birmingham City Hospital
I am an Interventional Cardiology Consultant at Birmingham City Hospital, SWBH NHS Trust since 2016.
I completed an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship from Peter Munk Cardiac Centre, Toronto General Hospital.
I am a trained CTO PCI operator with interests in CT coronary angiography and intracoronary imaging. I am a PI for many multi-centre cardiovascular trials and my research interests are calcium modification and CTO PCI.
In addition, I am a member of the Women As One (WAO) international organisation for female Cardiologists and am keen on encouraging and guiding junior female cardiology trainees.
Dorset County Hospital
I found a passion for Interventional Cardiology when I began working in the Cardiac Catheter Lab at DCH in 2007.
I am particularly interested in complex PCI, Microvascualr Angina and Coronary Sinus Reducers.
My hunger for education and the emphasis of this on the AHP team has been something that I have always strived for. The engagement of the entire MDT in a Cath Lab has been proven to aid success in procedures, as well as promoting patient safety and efficiencies.
St Thomas Hospital
I am a KSS intervention trainee who has just finished ST6 in Brighton in October 2022. I am currently out of program carrying out a BHF funded PhD in Cardiac Biomarkers based at St Thomas Hospital.
