Primary PCI Challenge V

Launch of the NIAP Final Report
The Palace Hotel, Manchester and The Said Business School, Oxford
October 20th 2008

Dear BCIS Member

We are pleased to invite you to attend a major national meeting further highlighting the role of primary angioplasty in the management of acute myocardial infarction and including the first presentation of final outcomes from the National Infarct Audit Project (NIAP). This event will be held at two separate sites in Manchester and Oxford with video conference links and is supported by the Greater Manchester and South Central Cardiac Networks in conjunction with The Department of Health.

As you will see from the attached programme and registration documents, we have attracted a faculty of excellent speakers, including representatives from all eight of the major centres who participated in the NIAP project. The event is aimed at a broad multidisciplinary audience, comprising all professional groups involved in the care of patients with acute myocardial infarction, and is likely to be a further major stimulus in the roll out of primary PCI throughout the UK, consistent with Department of Health strategy.

Further information and registration details are contained within the attached brochure and booking form. We anticipate a large audience at both venues and look forward to welcoming you in Manchester and Oxford.
