Michael Davies Early Career Award

for contribution to Cardiovascular Science

Professor Michael Davis changed the face of modern cardiology with his insights into cardiovascular pathology. Although best known for his description of plaque rupture his academic contributions were both extensive and sustained over many years. Michael Davis was a huge supporter of cardiovascular research and the British Cardiovascular Society is proud to support this award in his name. It has been developed to celebrate the achievements of established research workers in the early phase of their careers yet who have already made a significant research contribution, something Michael Davis achieved and was especially proud of in others.
